El japonés Yuji Ide no volverá a pilotar un Fórmula Uno esta temporada después de que la Federación Internacional de Automovilismo (FIA) le haya retirado la superlicencia. El equipo Super Aguri ha confirmado, por otra parte, que el francés Franck Montagny será el piloto de su segundo coche en las dos próximas carreras del calendario, en el circuito de Cataluña, este fin de semana, y en Mónaco, quince días más tarde.
Ya lo fue en el Gran Premio de Europa."Aceptamos esta decisión con tristeza y resignación, pero Aguri Suzuki continuará buscando una solución que permita el regreso de Ide al volante de un Fórmula Uno en competición", declaró un portavoz del equipo japonés."En consecuencia, Franck Montagny será nuestro piloto en España y Mónaco, al tiempo que estamos manejando diversos nombres para ocupar definitivamente el puesto de segundo piloto y el de piloto probador", afirmaron las mismas fuentes.
Ide no participó el domingo pasado en el Gran Premio de Europa al ser apercibido por la FIA por el accidente que causó en el Gran Premio de San Marino, su última carrera, y en el que holandés Christijan Albers (Midland) acabó dando varias vueltas de campana
