Monntagny reemplazara a Yuji Ide

El piloto francés Franck Montagny será el segundo piloto oficial de la escudería Super Aguri Honda en el Gran Premio de Europa, que se disputa este fin de semana en el trazado de Nurburbring (Alemania). Después de una recomendación recibida por parte de la FIA esta misma semana, el equipo Super Aguri Honda ha optado por que Montagny sustituya al japonés Yuji Ide, que quedará relegado a partir de este momento a las labores de probador."Hemos aceptado la recomendación de la FIA para así permitirle a Yuji que acumule los kilómetros que son necesarios y pueda mejorar, pero sólo en sesiones de entrenamientos privados," explicó el jefe del equipo, Aguri Suzuki. El patrón de la escudería, nueva este año en la parrilla de la Fórmula 1, reconoció que el equipo "se ha esforzado al máximo para que Yuji pudiera adaptarse lo más rápidamente posible a la F1 y creo que él ha cumplido increíblemente bien teniendo en cuenta las circunstancias". Aguri Suzuki, de todas maneras, no considera que esto cierre las puertas a Ide, al que "apoyaré en su trabajo dentro del equipo, incluido su retorno a la competición en la Fórmula 1".
